Boosting Your Self Awareness

There is a lot of health benefits to boosting your self-awareness and reaching your potential and goals.  I find that this is very helpful in controlling my anxiety and depression as well as making a routine that I follow.

1.     Know your strengths and weaknesses- Knowing your strength and working on your weakness will help you in your path to achieving the goals you have set out for yourself.

2.     Understanding your emotional triggers- Identifying our emotional triggers can be very challenging, it can be a helpful tool to know what your triggers are, and we can then choose how we react.  Reaction is something that can be controlled.

3.     Set healthy boundaries- Setting boundaries and firmly maintaining it is a skill that is needed in our toolbox.  It takes a lot of discipline, courage and support.  Once you have accomplished this skill it can be very useful in helping you develop yourself.

4.     Getting to know yourself-  Spend some quality time with yourself and get to know who you really are and asking yourself what you want to achieve, whether it is maintaining a health well-being, a workout schedule or if you would like to go back to school what program do you see yourself excelling at.  This is very important to schedule time for yourself to find your passion.

5.     The art of mindful living-  Mindful living is a skill that can be used anywhere at any time.  This has helped me to reduce anxiety and keep my depression far away. Being mindful means to live in the present moment and focusing on your breathing.  You can go for a walk mindfully, eat and listening mindfully.  This helps us on our path in achieving peace and tranquility. Knowing what we need when we need it.
